This woman ordered a doormat online and it certainly didn't meet her expectations

LOOK, WE ALL know by now not to buy your prom dress online. But you’d think you’d be safe with smaller, less important household items?

Comedian Emily Heller recently ordered a doormat off Amazon. Or so she thought.

Seems like a nice, regular doormat, right? But when Heller received the mat a month later, she immediately noticed something was up.

That’s not a doormat. That’s a piece of foam with a picture of the doormat she wanted printed on it.

Amazing.

Heller contacted the seller with her complaint and got a frankly insane response:

We are sorry for that, we are afraid that this is because of screen’s display problem, we can give you partial refund as compensation, do you accept?

Partial refund? Ah lads. Fortunately, Amazon came through with store credit, and Heller obviously had a good sense of humour about it.

This exact issue is not unusual, though – earlier this year, a customer bought a ‘colour changing mug’ from an Amazon seller and received this:
